How Many Cartons Of Cigarettes Can I Bring In My Checked Luggage And Or Can You Ship Them Through The Mail?
I am visiting a friend in N.C and my mom likes these special cigarettes that you can’t find in N.Y. I don’t smoke and I was wondering how many I can get away with bringing back to New York?

As long as you are not obvious about what you are doing, you should be albe to get away by transporting 4-6 cartons. That is considered reasonable consumption for an average smoker. That would be one to two month supply.
I would not ship them as they would be subject to NY tax if opened by postal authorities.
If you send them through UPS or FedEx and NOT the US postal service, there should be no problem. It is better with a private shipper as the US postal service is part of “big brother”
