My sister and I are looking to rent an apartment. She has good credit but no rental history and I have bad credit plus an 1 eviction from 2 years ago. Will it still be possible to get an apartment under both of our names?

Yes. Tenants with imperfect financial histories are pretty common. The landlord will probably consider your current income vs. rent. They will also probably contact your current and previous landlords for at least the past two years to see if you pay your rent on time. Some times they will ask for a larger security deposit or for you to pay a few months up front if they worry about you paying the rent.
You will both have to be put on the lease and you will both be equally liable for the rent, which means if you don’t pay your share and your sister can’t, the landlord can evict you and it will become a blemish on both your credit histories. For your own sake, make sure that the rent is on time or early every month. Since you have an eviction not too long ago, the landlord will probably be very prompt at beginning an eviction if there is the slightest hiccup in your rent. It’s nothing personal, but the landlord has a mortgage and other bills to pay and if you won’t pay, then they’ll find someone who will.
both of your names wil have to be on the lease, but on the part of the credit stuff then I dunno.
Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have… however there exists a solution.
I will hereby talk from my personal experience.
I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,
a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-cons…
if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!
Yes they will just want a larger deposit, since you have a previous eviction. Expect to pay twice to three times the normal deposit.
