I have vacation time accrued right now, but I already have a request in for time off in May. I want to ask for more time off for another mini vacation, but I would have to request it as Time Off Without Pay. Is that OK?

best choice would be to say a relative died and the funeral is out of town, usually they give you three days off with pay. that way you take a mini vacation and still get paid for it.
If you’re going to say someone died………… they don’t pay you unless it’s immediate family. When my god mother passed away It wasn’t considered immediate………..
anyways, You can, but it will most likely be unpaid:(
As long as it’s ok with your supervisor, it should be ok. But they can always say no to you.
