Have just returned from a grand vacation to Phuket, stayed at West of Eden in the northern part which is less busy than southerly areas, great hotel and awesome beaches. We hired a jeep for only 500 baht per day and would drive around the general area. So many marvelous places to dine, our preferred spot was Sweet n Spicy which had the most marvelous view over the beach, the staff was really nice and the food so delicious, we went for sunset drinks. My girlfriend and I had a supreme time in Phuket and will be back for Christmas.

Been to Chiang Mai a couple of times now, first time was in July 1999, then back at New Year 2007. What a fantastic holiday spot! It caters for everyone: if your searching for social locals there is plenty of them,if your looking for delicious food there is plenty and nightlife is brilliant. If you want a low-priced holiday, you can have it - if you desire an pricey holiday, you can have it as well. My mom is totally in love with the place and has just bought into a hotel over there. My children love it too. What a wonderful place to celebrate Songkran!
